The tour

More than two hours behind doors that normally stay shut

The tour runs for more than two hours and takes you through a 4,000 m2 facility with more than fifteen studios. It opens with our own Galaxy film, the story of how these rooms were built, and ends in the Galaxy Bar with a Galaxy beer brewed in Mol. Tours run in English on request and in Dutch as standard.

The Galaxy film

We open with our own film about the origin of the studios. From a wooden chicken coop to the place where immersive sound was born. You see immediately why the rest of the tour looks the way it does.

The silence itself

Fifteen rooms sit on steel springs, decoupled from the ground. The Galaxy Hall measures 330 m2, stands 8 metres tall and holds 14 dBA of background noise by our own measurements. You hear the difference the moment the door closes.

The museum and the bar

Four decades of music and film history in equipment, instruments, awards and memorabilia. The tour ends in the Galaxy Bar looking out over the gardens.

Recorded or mixed here

Kendrick Lamar, Rammstein, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige, Simple Minds, Hooverphonic, Clouseau, dEUS, Helmut Lotti, and the soundtracks of 40-45 and Daens.
